Whilst holidaying in Spain in August, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I had been nominated and invited to accept a fellowship with the Royal Society of Arts for my photographic work. Having always believed in the 'manifesto', and aims of the RSA I was delighted to accept the invitation. In due course, I was informed that my invitation was deemed to be successful after being considered by the admissions panel.
As a Fellow of the RSA, I intend to apply photography and art to projects, events, discussions and ideas concerned with improving the lives of people, environments, lifestyles, communities and cultures with the intention of (even if only in a small way) affecting social change. I hope to begin collaborating with likeminded people. I will be working primarily in Cumbria, Manchester, Birmingham and London. I will also be continuing my project, 'New World', in Ras Al Khaimah(UAE) in October 2016: www.flickr.com/photos/crausby/albums/72157646208646750 If you are available in any of these areas and/or have any ideas for projects, collaborations, etc, please feel free to contact me via email: [email protected] or use the comment section below.
